The company had gone towards the direction of a more subtle and more of a minimalist type of branding. The container is pretty basic. The juice actually just comes in a regular 120ml gorilla bottles with a simple stick-on label for the brand and trademark. The label shows a cartoon character, which resembles the Monopoly mayor character wearing shorts and a shirt, with the words ‘Broke Dick’ in large bold letters. The design is printed on a mustard yellow background, which, although very simple, is very pleasing to the eye. The design is just enough to grab anyone’s attention and make them look at the bottle closer. The presentation projects what the company wants to be; a cheap e-juice.
The product comes in 120 ml bottles. The brand offers a two-for-one deal. with every purchase you get one more bottle for free. Despite not having a screw cap, the gorilla bottles are tightly sealed; neither leaks nor broken seals were detected. It is actually a great way to save money if you have some unicorn bottes or extra screw caps lying around at home.
Flavor
The flavour profile on the bottle says that Payday e-juice is a candy store concoction that infuses each puff with notes of blended bourbon, combined with satisfyingly smooth hints of coconut, caramel, butterscotch, and just a kiss of cappuccino. The flavour is actually one of the most creative mixes I have encountered. The zest of each element blends together to give you something that is good enough to drink, making the product stay true to its trademark slogan. “Honestly, this is why you work all week.”
The main flavour you will taste up front is more in the likes of a banana pudding, with a slight hint of bourbon. On the inhale, it is mostly the taste of banana and cream, with a slight hint of the cappuccino, but on the exhale, you can really taste the bourbon and the coconut blended well with the taste of the banana, giving the exhale an amaretto-like feel. The butterscotch was a little difficult to locate, but it was maybe because of all the other strong flavours at play that toned it down.
What I like about the flavour is the fact that you can taste both the bourbon and the coffee. For two strong flavours that are mixed together, they came out pretty well. They were detectable, and they can really be savored on the exhale. They were not so overpowering that you would get tired of the flavour after a couple of hits. They proportions were on point, which is a big plus for me.
Throat Hit
It has a pretty smooth hit with close to no throat hit at a low nicotine level. What I like about this e-juice is the fact that even with the high nicotine content, you can still take deep 10-second lung hits with it without leaving your throat scratchy or dry. There was no bad aftertaste even with high nicotine levels. It does have a lot of mouth-feel due to all the strong blend of flavours but it does not leave me wanting to gulp down water after a couple of strong hits. The flavour intensity was about 7 out of a 10.
Cloud Production
For a 70/30 ratio, the clouds were full-bodied and pretty dense. It takes a while for it to clear up, and the smell of banana crème with a hint of amaretto lingers in the air. The clouds pretty much fogs up the room and the scent actually has a robust flavour but was pretty mild. Though it may not be competition-type, it is satisfactory enough for beginners to use for practice.
Overall
I think I just found the best cheap vape juice so far. Broke Dick’s PayDay e-juice pretty much satisfied me in all aspects. Great flavour, impressive packaging, smooth throat hit, and dense cloud production. This is probably the best value for money that I had. I would definitely be buying more of this, and I strongly recommend these products for fans of sweet e-juice. It exceeds expectations, and is most definitely a premium e-liquid for a very affordable price.
